I can easily imagine that the risk of developing postherpetic neuralgia is greater if you keep on working, esp a physically demanding job. I'm no doctor, but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd consider bedrest a key pillar of treatment. Does this require bedrest or is it ok to work especially for those of us that have jobs that might require you to be very active. I know you are very weakened by the virus.
